This is it, Living the Dream
« on: October 14, 2014, 02:40:14 PM »
I'm 27 listening to metallica, studying something I enjoy.

I'm getting older, I love being sober,  I love work, and I feel like I need to embrace the best dreams of the past, while completely skipping over the shit I'm too old for.

Ever just reach a point where you notice your more or less set in your life.

A few years ago, I was openly one of the biggest messes on the board, however I feel like I got my life set out.

I'm on the verge of a career, have pretty defined interests(music, gym,)

Thinking of starting a band, and have excepted I likely won't be in any relationships any time soon.

Are you going to be growing a beard to fit in with the rest of the Industrial Engineers?

Lol that was a joke.

I'm dismissive and skeptical as a rule.

Agreeing with people, and being gullable isn't a smart option when autistic.

doesn't mean i'm negative.

Positive shit I rarely share in the thunderdome.

Whats the point, unlike some I don't generally want attention for good shit, from a bunch of dudes online.

Yeah it's weird, I never thought it would happen like this.

I realized in the last 18 months, I'm happiest when working on something useful, most miserable when i'm trying to have fun, party etc.

I'm guessing its more maturity than something I've figured out on my own.

Study shows that a compound found in broccoli can improve autism symptoms

Out of the 26 participants given the broccoli compound, 46 percent experienced noticeable improvements in social interactions, 54 percent saw improvements in unusual behaviour, and 42 percent had improved verbal communication.

When you feel like doing something else, and you realize that the old habbits that interested you years back are not interesting anymore then that's what it is.

For example there is no way I'm gonna go throw my rent money to a club anymore. But I still check out the same girls I checked 8 years go, my taste in women regardless of age hasn't changed but I don't take things seriously.

I categorize things in detail very easily, I can read people like magazine's- swiftly checked out cliche most of the time, and when I do find a perfect girl, as I did just two months ago it feels like she's my sister after two weeks and it's boring as hell, two weeks.

Truth be told, I shouldn't be dating anyone who isn't a priest or a shrink, but I do have sexual desires, and the sex can be so good that it opens both yours and your partners minds, you know the person better than anything on the planet, you cry out of happyness as gay as it sounds, you start to talk about the future, you start doing all sorts of things together and you're proud to walk with her in public, you meet each others families and friends and everything is like in a paradise... but then two weeks later it's boring and I'm ready to let go of her like it never happent and she can't get out of bed because she is too devastated about it.

I really need to find my own thing to make money with, that's all I'm lacking at the moment, but even so, I don't really care, I just kinda want it, I don't want it a bad as I need to breathe, I'm not searching for nothing anymore.

OK, few questions. First, how can you listen to Metallica and study anything? I have never believed in listening to music (even classical) while studying, but Metallica?

On a more serious note. when you say

What do you mean? You said you were a mess, do you mean an addict or what? Just curious cos when I recall past times when I went out, fucked all and sundry and did crazy shit I get a rush in my heart and it can unsettle me for the rest of the day.

As for shit you get too old for what do you mean here? Some girl opposite me on train tonight kept staring me out of it. She started writing out details on a piece of paper (she was fairly hot - 7.5/10) and I was thinking "jeez you're (me) gonna get propositioned here". Turns out it was her address etc for a suitcase tag she was writing. Been a while since I have been on market so felt like I was past it cos that's how you used to exchange details. (Turns out she did want me and gave me details at end of train journey) I hardly ever go out anymore either, used to go out 3+ times/week, guess I'm just getting old... or resigned  :-\

I'm in that place now, started a course this week and it appeals to me so maybe that's what I'm supposed to do. Don't believe in destiny but do believe we all have a few callings. Don't give up on finding something that makes you money that you like just cos you feel you're getting older. I turned 30 in Feb and was depressed for couple of months at why I wasn't doing better than Mark Zuckerberg.
