Injection Site infected

I had my buddy inject me on monday in my left glute and it's more sore than usual and seems to be a little swollen. Has anybody ever had an infection and how did u treat it?

did he use sanitary procedures? ie. swab the vial with alki... use a different needle then the one you drew with... swab the inject spot... clean hands? etc etc... also maybe your buddy didnt have steady hands and was shakin the needle around.. this can cause the needle to tear some muscle around and become sore


as for treatments just take some antibiotics and keep an eye on it make sure it doesent form an abcess

I use to have to pin my old workout partner because his hands got WAY to shaky & sweat like a bish' But I always pinned his quad, i wouldnt go near his buttox. haha

is the area hot/warm to touch?  a little swelling is nothing to be too concerned with.  If it is an infection that needs medical attention, you will know!

If it becomes an abscess you WILL know.

As for now it sounds like local inflammation.

Nothing to worry about.

i massage the site like a mutha before and after, and with glutes you should be able to inject on your own

Warm showers before, and some type of activity to increase circulation after

lol bro next time make him do his own quad..... hes gotta get used to it... first time i pinned yes i was shaking like a mofo but after i got done it hit me that this was a breeze so each time after that was easier and easier... now its like nothing to me... i kinda enjoy doing it

^Exactly.  You learn by doing.  I would have made him do his own from the start.  He has to get over the "shakes".  My god......

It's not like you're stabbing a knife in to your leg.......it's a small needle.

My old training partner "a pro" had his girlfriend inject his lats everyday.

That would be ideal.........women are gentle and she would be able to hit areas he wouldn't.  I wish I had that kind of hook-up.

Most women aren't cool enough to do spot injections.

It is amazing how adept you can get at injecting with one had if you practice.  Put your favorite music on when you inject.  It acts as a nice distraction to help cool your head when injecting as a newbie.  After a while it's as easy as taking a shit.  Slow and steady is the way to go

thats still how i do it, get some hip-hop on and get my pin on! works great and makes it go fast but again i have no problems with needles, i just like to listen to music while shooting up

oh and one thing i use is one of those sonic massagers... i usually use it on my neck since i have that stupid chronic neck arthritis..... its teh wand massager with the two hard lumps that pulses vibrations into your muscles... right after i pin i hit it with that for a copule mins then go workout or just leave it b... does wonders
