Youtube . . . Ronnie Coleman

[ Invalid YouTube link ]

Guys hit the above link and watch the video of Ronnie at the 05 Olympia. At the end of hiroutien he hits a back lat spread and there is a huge knot on his upper lat . . . is it the result of his rumored lat tear? Also, do you notice is left tricep in his most musculer shot ( it does look small. ) The buzz about his tricep problems might be true.

Comments?

You guys can make an argument about Jay winning in 2001. However his better condition that was giving him the edge over Ronnie was due to some diuretics he used that were forbidden that year. Actually Jay was found positive and got disqualified.
Now, I am not saying that Ronnie is natural but he has never shown up as watery as in 2001, so probably he was afraid of testing and sticked to the rules, at least to some extent.
That being said, in 2005 there was no contest: good Jay but definitely superior Ronnie.

If true, it's a good point . . .

but whenever that point gets brought up, the Gutlerites just bounce back with:
"so what Ronnie ain't natural either!"
to which the Colemaniacs reply:
"yeah but he didn't get caught! - and thats ALL that matters!"
And, 2001 was debatable.  Unlike 1980 and 1994.

I have to totally agree with you.
I have watched the tape over and over, Jay doesn't come close.  He is a distant second.
He gets owned standing next to Coleman.

Ronnie does have a lump on his back (left side) at the 2005 O.

To be honest I thought that Badell was a little better and Jay.
Here comes the money shot

Ronnie is unmatched in size and symmetry.  Jaw Gutler will never beat him.  Ronnie does not have a triceps tear.  He has a common condition called olecranon bursitis.  Any good orthopoedic surgeon can drain that and give him a shot of steroids.  By July, the dude will be well over 300 pounds and hard.  Bye October, it is lights out for everyone.  Every year people take a look at Ronnie in January/February when he has barely touched a weight in three months and is probably clean.  Yes, even Pro BB need to get off the sauce occasionally.  However, once this beast starts training and using the juice, GH, etc....lights out.  Number nine aint nuthin but a peanut.  ;D

Jay's abs just got the eye at that show.  As a newbie to bodybuilding at the time, I felt Jay had won or was closer than objectively he was.
Why on earth Ronnie seemed to indicate he was going to come second is beyond me.  He pretty much dwarfed Jay - not as much as he did in 2003, but by a significant margin.

I agree with Matt on the " second indication." There is no way Ronnie thought he was second to Jay. When asked, Ronnie said it was a peace sign. I'll take that, cause he was better than Jay from what I see on Youtube.
