I havent seen a single episode, so Im not bothered how it ended.

Didn't like the way they said goodbye to Nucky...

But two scenes that were amazing....


Capone with his son...

Nucky selling his soul to the devil when he gave Jillian over to the commodore!

I didn't mind it at all.

Nucky had survived, and did it in a way that made him rich beyond compare.

But, all of it was predicated on a horrible act, and that's what came back to him in the end.

I thought all the series were awesome. Some of the best characters ever played, TinMan, Nelson van Alden, Jimmy Darmody, Cappone and the Cuban.
Buschemi was brilliant right through and the guy that played the younger Nucky in his police days was incredible. Great ending and they were willing to kill off all the above characters no matter how good they were.

Looking back, the Darmody kid thing was a bit messed up as it was rushed.

But Nucky's story arc was incredible. Everything he did was for nothing. He left no mark on the world and was unknown on the boardwalk while walking in the final scene.

I think the kid didn't kill him right away because his intention was to get back the Darmody family's birthright i.e. Atlantic City. When he realised the game was over (Commodore/Nucky dynasty) and the eyetalians had taken everything, that is when he decided to kill Nucky.
