For about 8 years I wrote Bodybuilding articles and editorials for Bob Kennedy at Muscle Mag. Also a few for IronMan. My wife has published about 8 years ago.

We have spent the past 2 years writing a young adult novel about an 18 year old who took his car to Tijuana for tuck and roll upholstery. He gets set up by the cops as a drug runner just to steal his show piece car. He is sent off to Islas Tres Marias  (a real place) Mexico's island prison 60 miles southwest of Mazatlan. No one has ever escaped and our protagonist Christopher is the only gringo.

Christopher meets Juanita, daughter of a visiting boat captain. She is also an apprentice to a spiritual healer in Mazatlan.
He plans his escape. Cruel guards, bullwhips, hunger and illness cloak the island. Sharks and hurricanes lie between the island and the mainland.

REDEMPTION'S WARRIOR is a thriller with some fantasy and romance. It is written for mature teens and young at heart adults.

If was up for free on a Kindle Select plan for several days. Did very well and was ranked 8th out of a hundred for suspense thrillers and 11th for Young adults out of the top 100.

BTW this book took 2 years to complete and have edited. A load of research went into it despite its being 'fiction'. We wrote it for shear love of writing, the story it tells and honestly money.
