The elite physique for the apocalypse is the one of an elite soldier. Lean and built for endurance. Someone who can walk 30 miles over rough terrain with little sleep. Someone who is highly trained with weapons and survival skills. Absolute strength will be of little importance.  Knowing unarmed combat will be a needed skill but not over emphasized. Man fights with weapons.

A big, overly muscular physique would be useless in a post apocalyptic planet.
And besides, a lack of food and drugs would quickly turn 300lb mass monsters into 160lb twinks. ;D

I have a feeling that Shizzo would be a wily ally in a SHTF scenario. Also, in case of zombies, you can shoot him in the leg and make your getaway while the Z's are feasting.

Plus plenty of vodka to sterilize wounds.

Agreed, you need the battle tested mentality of a soldier, trained not only in strength but in survival and endurance.

When the shit comes down and abs, striated glutes and low bodyfat% will get you killed. Forget pussy. This is going to be about protecting the food and gasoline supply.

Pro bodybuilder physiques are a joke.   Perma bulkers with blocky muscles look like losers and most people puke when they see them.  They are physically incapable aof agility and athleticism.
