Nicely done.

I presume it was a bit of a battle.

Caught on a very large mackerel on a size 6/0 hook. 30lbs test line .....it took about 45 min.

30lb test thats it?wow i woulda been nervous of the line giving way,what kind of line did u use,fireline? or the other top stuff or just regular?

i use 25 lb test fireline when i go blue fishing in the atlantic highlands in south jersey,its alittle heavy for blue,s but im always worried the line will give even tho im not gonna catch a 25lb blue fish

Mono trilene, no top and no braid, just set my drag correctly.

When I see things like this it makes me want to take up fishing, sitting in the freezing cold and rain in England doesn't gave the same glamour as fishing for huge tuna in the sun tho...

yea i used to talk to tuna fisherman n they said same thing about the drag,if it aint set right the line will snap or the fish wont get tired of its to loose.i love fishing man its the best

Yellowtail,  it's in the Jack family,  one of the best eating fish.

Get my limit of Salmon almost every year. Nice trout up here to. Every couple years my bro and father and I will take a trip up to Alaska and crab and get some halibut. Most time neighbors will kick in $50 and pay for our trip as we'll come back with more than we can fit in our freezers :)
