I am someone who really values my privacy, so I do not like it when people do that.
It makes me wonder what goes on in a person's mind that makes them think it is ok to waltz into a person's home like that.
My father actually takes it up a notch by peeking into my windows before he tries the door to see if it is unlocked! lol

I just think it is (or should be) considered common courtesy to knock on someone's door and wait to be invited in.

YES HE KNOCKED BUT IF I DIDNT ANSWER HE WOULD COME IN, IT'S STILL AGAINST THE LAW CAUSE HE DOESNT OWN THE APARTMENT AS LONG AS SOMEONES RENTING IT,  HE WAS REALLY OLD SO I WASNT ABOUT TO CALL THE COPS ON HIM.

Totally agree with you Princess L. I won't tolerate it.  No phone call...No answer!

If I have to pop in on someone all of a sudden, I'll sit in the car and call from my cell phone, and unless previously planned, i won't expect to be let into their home like that. You never know what ...or who they're doing, and it's rude IMO.

I can't walk into anyone's place. I even feel uncomfortable if I knock and someone says "Come In".  I used to have a key to my sister's place, and when she was home, I expected her to come and answer the door for me.

i dont have a problem with it..just have a few rules...
1) dont drink all my beer..help yourself..and save me at least 4ish...
2) dont expect me to stick around...i might have been going someplace...you r wellcome to stick around..drink..watch tv etc..no biggie..
3) DO NOT stink up the bathroom and use the guest bathroom..NOT mine..thats off limits to anyone except family...
thats about it....

I just did this about 3 times in the last week.. I moved and needed internet access so I just walked to a friends house and went straight to his computer.

I was thinking about this this morning, whether it was a strange thing for them.

Seriously.. in America with all the guns? i't would never enter my mind, I would ALWAYS enter every house by first knocking on the door and just for safety I would yell... POOOLICE We GOT A SEARCH WARRANT!!!!!
