Here in Thailand, they teach very little of world history. Many people don't even know who Adolf Hitler was. Even the Thai history they teach is heavily revised. As for other subjects, they lean by rote and are taught to NEVER question your elders.

Which turns out some very ignorant, uneducated people. In fact, the brightest ones here are the ones that were sent to US/UK/Australia for an education.
