Bwahaha.

Shitty argument;  Even if the minimum wage were halved, this would still (continue to) happen.

Liberal politicians (libs in general) that want the minimum raised have zero clue on how business works. It's easy to spend other people's money.

I've said it on getbig since 2005 - A minimum wage does NOT work.   Economics majors can explain it better, I could explain it well back then.  It may work in small pockets, but the pressure streams elsewhere so the overall effect is a loss/flat.

Min wage doesn't work.   BUT it's not just libs who support it.   When asked if he supports the idea of a minimum wage, FL Gov Rick Scott said "Sure" then explained he just doesn't know what the right number is.

Mitt Romney, who calls himself severely conservative, supports a minumum wage HIKE:

Rick Santorum supports a minimum wage, and thinks it should be increased:

Tim Pawlenty supports it - he's one of the strongest conservatives:

Rob Portman supports increasing min wage:

So maybe it's a liberal IDEA, but a whole lot of republicans - including some far-right voices, sure love the idea.  Personally, I believe it doesn't work.  But these liberal republicans do.

Yeah its the capitalist pigs  ::) An employee is paid commensurate with their skill set, simply "capping" (communist bullshit) the CEO's earnings doesn't mean the burger flipper is suddenly worth more. That's the great thing about jobs in America, you don't think you are being paid enough, look else where. If your skill set is worth more, you get paid more.

Actually, you DO give a shit, because in your post you singled out Liberals and liberal politicians.

Liberal politicians (libs in general) that want the minimum raised have zero clue on how business works. It's easy to spend other people's money.

You specifically made this thread to destroy liberals for their idiocy in supporting this idiotic idea that minimum wage works.

The truth is, like Amnesty, most Republicans support this terrible idea because they want to appeal to liberals.

Charlie Crist wants to raise the FL minimum wage to 10.10, and it's not popular at all.  We have a very uneducated/lazy workforce, to put it mildly.  Most restaurants are terrible, stores are bad.  Kids on their phone instead of helping people, it's bad.

the problem isn't the wages, it's the performance ability of the workforce.  Many are not WORTH ten bucks an hour.  Any restaurant packed with ten employees who are WORTH 12 or 15 an hour - that place is jumping, business is amazing, cause that's so hard to find around here..

If liberal communists really wanted workers to take hom more $  - they could easily advocate lowering the FICA tax on min wage workers.

Maybe they support lowerinf the tax rates to offset the higher overhead costs so business can keep their profits. Uh oh..it's that business thing again that libs are inept about.!!!

So when repubs yell they want to raise the minimum wage, it's okay, cause they want to lower tax rates?

Or it is completely unacceptable for ANY politician to support a minimum wage?
