I trained with Stan Javier and Luis Polonia back in the day  both teammates of Jose from that era  I know a lot of crazy stories about Jose

While on the road, Jose was a" judge" in beauty pageants (Toronto,Detroit,Boston NY etc)  he will take contestants  to his room and offer some to his fellow players as well . LOL

That's when the Canseco fan in me died.  Once he started with the MMA and celebrity boxing thing I was out.  I knew he was juicing when he played baseball and I didn't really care since almost everyone was.  Tattling and naming names about steroids I didn't like but it was something I could forgive.  This shit on the other hand.  Nope, I'm out.  Best of luck to you Jose.

I choose to remember him in the late 80's and early 90's when he was a bad muthafucka.  He hit a baseball harder than I ever saw one get hit before.   He hit one in the old Yankee Stadium one time and I swear it looked like there was smoke coming off the ball.  He murdered the ball.  They should have called CSI after that one.

From 1986 to 1992 MLB milked Jose Canseco's paraphernalia and Ken Griffey Jr. like no other players in history  ....teenagers will literally spend their savings on every thing Canseco not only West coast but east coast as well ...  then they didn't allow him to hit 500HRs and forced him out of baseball at age 37.  Because he was an "evil steroid user".
