A Pakistani labourer and his pregnant wife killed for alleged blasphemy were locked inside a brick-making factory before their murder to prevent them from fleeing their debts, relatives said today.

Shehzad Masih and Shama Bibi - who was four months pregnant and a mother to three children - were then beaten, surrounded by a 1,500 strong crowd and thrown on top of a brick kiln, witnesses said.

The killing was sparked by the mob's belief the couple had desecrated a copy of the Koran. By the time the attack was over, only charred bones and the couple's discarded shoes remained.

Last night, I was with a friend who speaks to christians in this village. Yesterday he was on the phone to them, as they and around 20 children hid in a christian orphange, while the same mob as in this article banged on the door. An hour later, she called my friend back to tell him that over the prayer tanoy a man announced "No one is to sell or give food to any christians, and any christians found in the village will be hung in public"

My friend was in tears and was personally on the phone to this teacher when the mob started banging on the door - scary shit.

The most horrible part, is that the people these mobs are killing have large hearts and would do anything for a muslim. The story in the news is also bullshit - what actually happened is the couple were late paying their rent, and the landlord got pissed off and told a group of men that they had torn out pages of the Qu'ran and thrown them out the window......the rest is history.
