Seasoned street preachers welcome hecklers. Why? A group of 3 or 4 can quickly become a crowd of 100 in minutes because of the spectacle brought about by the heckler. Once the crowd is drawn the preacher can then focus on the heckler in a good way. Heckling is a wonderful, free device and does way more good than harm.
Hecklers are a great tool on internet discussion boards as well LOL. They draw threads views there as well. First hook is the "religion" titled thread. Then it's the hecklers.
I’m so used to waiting for the initial wave of “hit and run” posters, a wave of belligerent God-haters high-fiving each other and of course the inevitable and oft repeated God-hating memes to be posted. All this draws attention to the thread and keeps folks reading.
The constant, negative posting is an opportunity for contrast against a Christian witness for Christ.....people see the difference even if they aren't posting.....thread view counts speak to that.
