If you watch all of the episodes you'll notice he never says he "owns" the house or that he "bought" the house. 

He says things like "i knew i had to have it" or "thats why i got it" but never anything about actually BUYING it.

If you look at the house, its more than likely a house that belonged to a person who worked for...or played for the LA Lakers.  I have no clue on his Rich's finances but considering that he previously owned a number of houses, I don't think it would be hard for him to own one like this.

John Romano had a similiar house and he racked up a ton of cash by purchasing 5 other houses, renting them, and letting them go into foreclosure.  Consider that it usually takes on average about 24 months to do so you can rack up a shitload of money that way....credit will be horrible but since Romano moved to Mexico, it doesn't even matter at this point.

Rich Piana's assumed occupation does not match the home and vehicles that he has....I would look on it with some skepticism....especially someone who had his last home foreclosed on.  Here's the home listing and thread
