The Holiday Season is coming upon us and I would like to know how many members here help out at the local food pantry/community mission, hold doors open for people, walk elderly women across the street, teach an aerobics class for the Senior Sneakers, pay tolls for the person behind you, buy a Starbucks for the next in line,  etc. etc.

I give all year long to a battered women's shelter in my city. Rarely at Christmas because so many people only give at that time to where they are overloaded with shit. I do sponsor a family at Christmas that has just left that shelter.

I volunteer for a few organizations ever year. Mainly related to advocacy efforts.

I cleaned an old woman's gutters last weekend.  I might do some volunteer building maintenance for local oldies since a lot of places are just falling down around them.  On the other hand maybe I should charge the full dollar since a lot of places are just falling down around them.  I end up never charging seniors anyway since they usually haven't got a pot to piss in.    Destitute coots.

I haven't done jack shit for anyone else this weekend.  I can't be expected to be angelic all the time.
