I can't say I agree with the Chinese on much of anything but they are spot on with that last statement.

Given his party's miserable set of US mid-term election results President Barack Obama will, of course, have been bracing himself for plenty of harsh criticism.

But perhaps he would be surprised to hear that China's state-run media is joining in, with a blistering broadside describing his term in office as "insipid".

Even by the standards of the Global Times, a newspaper with close ties to the Communist Party and known for its strident editorials, the language is blunt.

With Mr Obama due to arrive in Beijing for an international summit in just a few days' time, the article describes him as a man who "dares to do nothing".

US society, it says, has grown tired of his "banality" and, as a result of the mid-terms, "the lame-duck president will be further crippled".

whenever i'm not sure how I should feel about my country or its leaders, I consult with public statements made by the sworn enemy of the USA, based in China.  Their statements are unbiased, patriotic and most of all, delivered with that same quality we've come to know with everything from samsung tablets whose plugs keep breaking, to kids toys with lead paint.

i'm not saying the statement is wrong.  i'm just saying that once a nation threatens pre-emptive nuclear war, as China did in 2011, I tend to assume anything and everything they say after that is designed to destory the USA.

Kinda like if a guy threatens to boil me alive and feed me to the sharks, I tend not to trust his directions to Sea World, ya know?

honestly, i'm more concerned about 2016.

F the Rinos who will escort in Obama II in the form of Hilary.

Libs are gonna lib, but they wear the lib t-shit.   On the other hand, RINOs hold up the republican flag, while backdooring the LIB candidate to the last 2 presidencies by making the repub base stay home due to their shitty RINO candidates they force thru.

IMO, RINOs are FAR more likely to elect a dem in 2016 than the libs are.

Gum-chewing, limo-eschewing Obama riles some Chinese

BEIJING — Ahead of an economic summit in Beijing, billed as the biggest international event in the Chinese capital since the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, authorities demanded that residents brush up their typically brusque manners. The Communist Party launched a six-month campaign to make Beijingers behave in a more civilized fashion to welcome the world.

Turns out the rude one, in the eyes of some Chinese Internet users, was the most prominent guest.

Live television coverage on China's top state-run channel Monday night showed the leaders of the 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member states arriving in iconic socialist limousines, along red-lit avenues, at the Water Cube, the Olympic swimming venue.

Obama eschewed the Red Flag limousine service that ferried other leaders one by one from a nearby building to a banquet, cultural show and fireworks at the aquatic venue. Some Chinese went online to criticize his preference for the familiar security of a U.S.-supplied vehicle, while others understood his choice, but what happened next surprised many here.

Obama emerged from his car chewing gum; he's a well-known user of Nicorette, the smoking-cessation gum. But Chinese Internet users, accustomed to the highly formal standards of their stiff party leadership, quickly characterized the leader of the world's most powerful nation as an impolite "idler," or careless "rapper."

"We made this meeting so luxurious, with singing and dancing, but see Obama, stepping out of his car chewing gum like an idler," wrote Yin Hong, a professor of journalism at Beijing's Tsinghua University, on the Twitter-like Sina Weibo micro-blog service. Twitter, like Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, is banned in China, whose censors fear such services could aid political protest.

Obama to Chinese President: I Want to 'Take the Relationship To a New Level'

7:37 AM, Nov 11, 2014 • By MICHAEL WARREN

President Obama told the president of China he wants to "take the relationship to a new level."

Obama, who is visiting China as part of a global summit, attended an event at the residence of Chinese president Xi Jinping Tuesday. According to the pool report, Xi told Obama he wanted to work more closely with the Americans, and the American president agreed.

"When the U.S. and China are able to work together effectively, the whole world benefits," Obama said, adding that he wants to "take the relationship to a new level."

Obama told Xi how "well-managed" the Communist leader's events were during his visit.

Also in attendance were Secretary of State John Kerry, National Security Adviser Susan Rice, ambassador to China Max Baucus, and senior adviser Evan Medeiros. Obama commented, according to the report, that Kerry did not know what time it was in China, as the secretary had just flown in from the Middle East.

Obama is such a little queer
