The perfect body of Luke Rockhold
« on: November 11, 2014, 02:56:28 AM »
Guy is a world class fighter with 13-2 or something like that, so he got the functional strenght, the endurance, the skills etc but let's forget that for a second and just look at his physqiue, the guy is 6'3, 185 pounds.

when you think about it UFC fighters prep like bodybuilders
they diet, get rid of as much water weight and fat as possible while keeping muscle
then they carb up, rehydrate

and bam they look jacked as fuck for the fight

Not many fighters are ripped like this guy, but need to see a relaxed pose to judge. He is either pumped or sweat covered.
U don't need to do bodybuilding to get this physic, if u are a cross training athlete. I'd say about 3 times a week focusing compound movements is enough, recommended. If u do more or do bodybuilding type workouts like isolations, u lose the explosiveness. And they should already have explosive training with weights covered. That's a lot commitment.

And why the hell would I do isolation exercise if you are fighter or football player? It's just another time consuming commitment, just for the look.

Extremely muscular and lean , but not big. Functional athlete type of build.

Ultimately you want that type of muscle quality on top of a large quantity base.

Tarzan muscles will only cause problems with the white women in your future.

Yes, some sort of cardio is needed that Tarzan muscles cannot support.

That's far from perfect, that's actually what an audience pays for to see on stage... ::)

He probably walks around and actually fights at somewhere between 190-200lbs.  I didnt watch the fight, but don't they give their current weight at fight time?  Most I've seen are usually 10 or so lbs heavier than their weigh in.  Either way he has a great physique.

like tito ortiz, weighs in at 205 day before fight and weighs 235-240 on fight night next day.i always believed weigh ins should be done same night as fights, just like when i did grappling tournaments and judo tournaments
