Good for him but nothing beats a medium rare Rib-eye.  :)

The one thing that trumps it is a RARE rib eye.

I like veggies, but I can't imagine giving up beautiful, nutritious and delicious meat.

I will respectfully disagree.  A ribeye has too much marbling to be served rare IMO, a longer cooking time gives the fat a chance to render out.  Leaner cuts like strip or tenderloin are better suited for serving rare.

130-140F is ideal for a ribeye

what i just realize today

pasta may be a lot more practical for bulking

if you cook 100grams of rice and cook 100grams of pasta

the pasta will be only half the volume of food to shovel down with about the same nutrient value

is there a catch?

if no catch i'm gonna replace rice with pasta and eating will be a lot easier

The problem with rare when it comes to a rib eye is if it's really thick it's hard to cook it all the way through at an even temp. I had had some thinner cut rib eyes rare that were really good.
