Scrap bodybuilding and train for a tough mudder or goruck event.

Tough Mudder looks fun, but I have no interest in doing one.
I don't enjoy anything where you have to deal with the "elements" outside.
I love running a 5k down a nice, paved road on a clear, cool day.
I don't want to plod thru mud or carry some bimbo across an obstacle course.

I had to do some of that "roughing it outside" years ago in the USMC.
I survived but never really enjoyed it .

Now, I consider camping outside to be voluntary homelessness. ;D

Gotcha.  But you could train for it, but not do it.

I could take you all for a run with weight.

Paris island for bootcamp 35 yrs ago and it was no picnic.
I was stationed at Lejeune for MOS school.

I'm proud I made it and earned the title US marine, but I'd never do it again.

Have my previous 3 ex wives, join my current wife so all 4 could have a threesome with both Goodrum and Wiggs at the same time ( 2 each) while I masturbate in the closet.

Wow, what a shocker. By the looks of it, most of us here thought you were well on your way of getting a pro card. ::) ::)

I last competed 19 yrs ago and no longer care about getting a pro card.
I still enjoy working out and the overall lifestyle of bodybuilding, BUT, it can get boring.
My main issue now is motivation and consistent workout intensity.

Soooooo, I'm doing a few things to liven it up and keep it fun.

1. I got a membership to LA Fitness and Anytime Fitness ( 24 hr). This gives me access to over 50 different gyms within metro ATL.
I can work chest at 1 club and later hit biceps and abs in another with different equipment and atmosphere. The idea is to constantly change things up and keep it fresh.

2. I'm doing different forms of cardio and really challenging myself to push it harder on treadmill runs , stair climber machines , etc.

This is my own design of "cross training". My personal goals are to drop fat % and body wt, run in some area 5k's and compete in a local bodybuilding contest in the over 50 geezer class by next summer.

I'm also experimenting with new supplements that look interesting just to see what they actually do.

if you re muscular and rich why not bang younger women, why stick to an old washed up one and marry her?

does your last wife have grown up kids ? Is she against kids just like you?
Did your own parents stay together? What did your father tell you about kids?

1. LOL, I'm not that rich or muscular. I actually love her and enjoy having her as my life partner. Sex is only a part of that equation.

2. Neither of us ever had kids or wanted them

3. Parents divorced after 23 yrs of marriage and both were dedicated parents that liked kids.
My sister had 3 kids and both sets of grandparents stayed married for life . My maternal grandparents were married for 75 yrs.

In my own lifestyle observations, having kids looked like a lot of long hours of tedious work, $$$ and stress, that never ended.
Many others view it as a labor of love.
The world today, needs BOTH kinds of people. ;)

Yup, that was my era ad my DI's were hardcore , combat vets from Viet Nam.
I would have gotten on a bus off Parris Island , if they ever offered that option during bootcamp...but they didn't LOL. ;D

I made it thru and survived my tour of enlistment.

I was a sprinter in high school and college. I also run charity road 5k's now for fun. I just don't understand the Mudder races.  Is it to pretend to be in the military for a run?  The last thing I want to do is to get muddy in bacteria laden dirt then after a hose off get in my brand new car hoping I got all the mud off.
