Its not negative.  Its just that people tend to get emotional when backed in a corner they can`t get out of. I don`t really understand it myself because I would never get emotional and I would never defend or support something that would put me in such a position.

Some people are more emotional than others and for no reason.  Doesn`t matter about politics or opinions, some people just can`t handle it.  Liberal, Conservative, Religious or Atheist, I have seen them all throw hissy fits and cry and its always illogical.

TA, you're right, people get emotional about all sorts of things. I mean, if you critique a chef, they go absolutely crazy. Tell a chef his food sucks, and they really take it to heart. People, in general, just don't like to be criticized.

Though, I do think that there are certain ways to critique or give feedback to people that is not so harsh.
