The Running Man could be getting a sequel, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed.

In an interview with Digital Spy this weekend, the actor revealed there are rumblings of a follow-up to the 1987 sci-fi thriller.

"There's rumblings of a new Running Man movie, so it's a great honor to be asked back,” he said.

If Jim Carey made a blockbuster sequel with 20 years between movies ....why can't Arnold?

Schwarzenegger also gave updates on other sequels in the works including returning to the role of Conan the Barbarian in The Legend of Conan.

3 years ago Arnold mentioned he'd been asked to "remake" the running man, now he's brought it up again. Maybe with the hunger games success they think an update of the original movie will go down well. Personally I think the hunger games is boring, stretched out watered down rubbish, I'd take TRM anyday over that

Yup - He said on Saturday in London at his "evening with" that he is doing another Conan, Triplets with Danny Devito and Eddie Murphy and yup a sequel to running man is on the cards. He is in good shape but looking to get better for Conan as the arms will be out and visible throughout

I agree though - Commando II would be better than all the above.
