Synthol was not invented until about 96 or 97 but some guys were site ingecting piles of deca before that.  One big german was the master of that.

natural and unnatural progression that's what happen's at high level bbing,no suprises ,he could have had nice build natural and smaller for everday training ,he just like all pro's went to extreme's to be top amateur then compete as pro.
