I wouldn't recommend a diuretic for hypertension.

Go with Capoten, it is smooth and it acts as a mild diuretic indirectly.  I have to take a piss 20 min. after using it........

Doubtful that your source would have it.  Just have a doc prescribe it for you.

 Capoten (Captropril).

I take 50MG once per day, right before bedtime.

It's not harsh or strong, but it's nice and smooth......help you relax.
