So I come home today about noon for lunch......check the recorder and there is an automated message from the IRS......Saying I am delinquent on my taxes and my house and back account will have leans against it.


I am shitting my pants and can't call IRS fast enough.....come to find out there is a scam going on......the IRS has had a plethora of calls regarding phoney phone calls.


just letting my brethren here at getbig.com know.

the IRS will never call your house.  they will send notices by mail.  99.999999999999999% of the time where you get a phone call from the IRS its a scam.

Many people don't even use a land line anymore...IRS will send a letter before any phone call...

Fucking Feds!!! Im still waiting on my 5k tax return. The Feds say they are still processing my wife's name change. Unbelievable.

I never, ever deal with those corrupt bastards directly.

Spend a few bucks on a CPA for routine tax prep, and also on a good tax lawyer if you ever get any letters from them.

this.  if you ever get a notice in the mail take it along with your return in question to a CPA tax preparer.  A lot of times you do not owe what it says on the notice.

There are multiple B.S. orginizations making these calls across the nation...problem is, some folks have the money AND are gullible enough to pay them.


Very sad indeed....


If you actually answer one of those calls, you just rip into em' like it's WWIII in your house. Threaten them with every degree of malevolence and tell them to never call again.


They tried this shit with my parents... my mom was smart enough to ask for a callback number....

It's a nation wide thing going on. I can't believe no one has gotten arrested over this yet. I got it and three of my former coworkers got the call too.

The IRS mails a notice before doing anything.  They will harass you if you're a conservative Republican then you get audited and scrutinized over your taxes.

I haven't watched wrestling in a long time. I was into it during the early 90's and the attitude era, but that's cool he's following in papa Shyster's footsteps.
