When you're working and you have a family you don't even care what it costs, you know you need it then you just pay it, and being you are young and healthy you hardy ever use it [teeth cleanings routine check ups etc.] when you stop working you got to have something because you start to really need it, joint replacements, heart surgeries plus tons of other shit that can and will go wrong. so you paid good money for 40- 50 years and hardly got anything for it, and now you're an old turd and you really need to use it and before OBAMACARE you paid big dollars for it. then you have a guy like soulcrusher come along and call you a leech for taking something that is available to you. Do you see what I'm saying.
I am not familiar with the nuances, so wasn't sure if Obamacare lowered medicare costs. That's why I asked to see if you were comparing apples to oranges. After looking at it, I think it did lower those costs.
But you have to understand where SC is coming from - he works for himself, and Obama said his costs wouldn't increase. I believe they tripled. So beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
And the crux of Obamacare (I believe, not sure) was that it would be funded by forcing young folks to have it and pay for it, with the idea that they would not need it much, and it would fund those who do. It was basically a tax.
So in that sense, SC is correct that it's others paying for your care.
But of course if it's available, you cannot be blamed for using it.
