Just came across this. It's cool to see how he stacked up against the other competitors. They had him at 6'2", 245 pounds at 20 years old, with 20.5" upper arms and almost 57" chest and his waist was only 32"!! Arnold did not have a small waist as people say. He sucked in his stomach big time and did lots of twisting shots to hide what he knew was a weakness.

There's a shot of him with both hands behind his back and it shoes exactly what I'm talking about.

Interesting stats.
Measuring & weighing all competitors.
How would the Stats at Mr Olympia compare.
A lot of them would be exposed for their inflated weight & measurements.

I think I have recollections of seeing a clip where competitors gave their own stats at sign in. Maybe from pumping iron or some other clip somewhere.

But it look smaller than 32.

Interesting re Frank Richard - Very average measurements and only just over 14 stone at 5 foot 10. He looked bigger

they should measure all bodybuilders competing and add it to the mix. size or arms, chest, waist etc

Those measurements could have been submitted by the contestants themselves, not necessarily taken by any official.

Obviously, being so much taller than the manlet he could claim what he wanted.

Bet money he was 6 foot tops.

I am sure there was no seo involved for 5"4 Lee Priest's arms to get to 23 inches. He also ran only 1,5g of gear, mainly deca to become pro and compete at the top of the sport. AMAZING

Lou was like 3 inches taller than Arnold still smaller waist.

In 1974 Arnold had a 34.5 waist (contest shape) no 33"

237 Lbs., not 240 lbs .

and wearing shoes he was in deed 6'2" ...so that could be "accurate" of all claims

i know, if arnold and louie are being knocked down a couple of inches in their primes then the shorter guys like mentzer are we supposed to believe he was 5'6", dickerson 5'3" etc etc. Arnold was clearly near 6'2" back in the day, robert kennedy had him measured and had him at 6'1.75" near 6'2". In one of musclemags books they said for the sake of making printing easier it was simply rounded up.
Basil measured him at over 6'1" and has no reason to lie regarding arnold.
Arnold recently said in a sabotage interview that 6'5" joe manganiello is 5 inches taller than him and a terminator genysis advert needing doubles for arnold listed him as 6ft. It's clear from all the old pics and footage arnold was a taller man then and he's lost nearly 2 inches which is obvious pictured with todays generation generally being taller. Louie was a clear 3 inches taller then but also looks to have lost some.
