Taking a trip next month with the family and I'm debating on whether or not to fly first class, as I'm traveling with a 22 month old. It will be a 1 hour flight, connect, then a 4 hour flight. I've never flown with a child before and am worried about what the other people will think. Part of me thinks, fuck it, if he's pissed better for me to be comfortable than not, but part of me thinks it would be a dick move to ruin someone's flight that paid for a first class ticket. Thanks.
Took my baby (when she was about 6 through 8 months) plenty of times on the plane, and twice on first class for a five hour flight (best money I've ever spent), luckily so far my girl had been a great flyer... Even on one red eye she didn't make a peep.
Most important thing is to be prepared have everything you need and plenty of distractions for your kid. Keep calm and cool... That will also help your kid keep calm and cool.
And no its not a dick move, you paid for the first class tickets just like anyone else in that cabin. If someone complains tell them to move their ass back with the cattle if they're not happy. You're bringing another human being with you not some wild animal.
PS. The one trip I didn't put my girl in a onesie, and in sweat pants instead, she took a shit as she was sleeping on me, then somehow it migrated up her diaper, out of her pants and all over my hands... Passengers next to me got up as quick as possible when I needed to make a run with her to the bathroom
