Considering that 73% of violent crime is committed by slightly more than 3% of its population (according to FBI)  I'm surprised black people aren't profiled more.

I live in a very "white" suburb of Portland. Blacks are 0.7% of the population. The few people of color here are probably pro basketball players and other such fairly wealthy folks. When door to door magazine salespeople come around, they are obviously out of place. I've seen the police approach them and they are soon on their way. If some vagabond or beggar attempts to panhandle at the freeway ramps, the police chase them off within a few minutes too. Not much riffraff here, regardless of ethnicity or color. the same is true for our neighbor city, Lake Oswego. Portland, on the other hand, has much more racial variety although it is still 78% white.

As I always say, most of the United States has no clue and are delusional on this topic.
