Hey, I am out of shape! And I felt it today when we took a 2+ hour hike up near Castle Peak to the small caves. So all good, and hopefully, will get to where I want in a few months (I am realistic).

Why? Because I should ask only the simple questions and not the tough ones.  David at the time was very arrogant.  Now, he is a very cool person whom I respect a lot! He has served our country and that I respect a lot! So if I weight 200 pounds instead of 250 pounds, I can ask a question. Really... get real...

Bodybuilding is an art form in which guys are discipline to train, eat right, and form muscles to attain a physique. I got into it because I met some people who became friends and it is part of our industry. I enjoy the events, especially since (obviously you have not gone to one) that there are usually 100+ bikini competitors too! And quite a few of my friends are there.

Don't be jealous.  I am happily married with two wonderful kids, and get to photograph 100's of bikini competitors almost every other weekend.  I don't have anything against gay people (my step brother-in-law), but alas, I kinda like the girls.  Sorry to disappoint you.

I wish and will try to do that as much as I can!

Anyway, here is where we went this morning to hike, and frankly, my hurt hurt a little bit now from rock hills.

Hey, Ron, help me out, I'm outta the loop here. Are you married to Princess L?

does anybody here have a straight friend who loves bodybuilding but who, himself, has never at least dabbled with the iron?  (or is Ron the first in history?)

Of course. My good friend, Shizzo is one example. And Ron has more than "dabbled" with iron.

Notice any weight loss from quitting drinking?  Friend of mine quit drinking and in less than a week he lost five pounds.

alot of younger guys dont realize how fast us (old geezers)lol, can get out of shape just from something as much as not training, eating different(crappy) and stress. there been times in my life when i couldnt lift due to injury, then id b depressed and wouldnt give a fuck about my diet and before u know it the once nice and lean body looks like complete shit. the older u get the quicker it happens, ive seen guys win a bodybuilding show and then something happened where they couldnt train alot, whether it was crazy work schedule or injury, then they start eating bad and 1 year later they looked like ron. all im trying to say is even though rons not in shape at this moment doesnt mean he hasnt been there, done that and could be in great shape again by the spring time or early summer. im sure he can and i know he knows he can and thats really all that matters

Exact opposite for me. Weekend drinking kept my weekday diet perfect. Drinking years were my leanest. Quit drinking, diet no longer seemed as important anymore. Plus, timing - I'd turned thirty and metabolism took a shit.
