Large tattoos and finger and neck tattoos, a tool for the overcompensator?

Anybody here who has felt the need to cover at least 20% of their body in hideous ink with the past couple of years, so that they can deem themselves as being fashionable?

Are you one of those people (retards) who have tattoos on your fingers or neck?

I would like to know how you feel after you got a load of crap scribbled all over you skin, do you feel more manly or trendy by doing this.

This question is not aimed at those who had tattoos done 5-10 years ago when it was not popular or a fashionable trend like it is today.

i have 3 tattoos and a piercing in each ear. tattoos can be covered up, and piercings come out when needed. its stupid to get tatoos where they cant be hidden or those stupid plugs in your ears.

A lot of tattoo haters on here.  I started getting inked 22 years ago, before it was popular. I am probably 60-70% covered. I know it is not for everyone but believe it or not it is a lifestyle. Just like fitness or bodybuilding lifestyle. I go to tattoo conventions and compete (actually have several trophies), and when I travel which I do quite often I check out the local tattoo shops. I don't judge anyone for any body modifications but I would never ink my face. Just a bit too hardcore for me.
To each their own on whatever you want to do as long as it doesn't affect me or my family.

A lot of tattoo haters on here.  I started getting inked 22 years ago, before it was popular. I am probably 60-70% covered. I know it is not for everyone but believe it or not it is a lifestyle. Just like fitness or bodybuilding lifestyle. I go to tattoo conventions and compete (actually have several trophies), and when I travel which I do quite often I check out the local tattoo shops. I don't judge anyone for any body modifications but I would never ink my face. Just a bit too hardcore for me.
To each their own on whatever you want to do as long as it doesn't affect me or my family.

Very cool way to get it done. I was at Hell City Tattoo Convention in Columbus Ohio last spring and there was a traditional Japanese tattoo artist. He was tattooing this guy by tapping a rod with 3-4 metal points. The guy getting it done was in soooooooooo much pain. I have never had it done that way but I heard it is the worst pain.

It's more like a counter culture than a lifestyle.  Neck/facial tattoos and extreme piercings are signs of mental illness.  People who have these better have their own business because most employers will not hire them.

I am about as mentally ill as it gets.  Honestly, I am a corporate manager for a Fortune 500 Company. I do have visable tattoos including my hands and a couple on my fingers. I also have one on my back that carries up my neck. I was promoted to this position with that ink. I work my ass off and I am good at what I do. So your statement about employers is not always the case. But to your point, I doubt I would be in this position with a Tyson or Priest face tattoo.

I have a logistics component to my business, forklift and truck drivers, they are all covered in ink, even have one get f@#$%d on his shaven head, and another with full face tatts, wouldnt have them in direct customer service, but they are good guys who I value, they also shy away from the injury claims which haunt the industry, i would rather have the odd looking bunch than the other claim happy scabs I see around .
