As for torturing terrorists, if it's confirmed then have at it. But the criminal justice system is fucked and people get away with stupid shit despite being guilty, whereas others get arrested despite being innocent. I'm sure torture was used by ALL SIDES in vietnam, WWII, WW1, and every war before that. 

We just didn't have "embedded" reporters, google satellite view, idiots tweeting in the middle of gun battles, etc.
