A man registered as a sexual predator won nearly $3 million Wednesday from a Florida Lottery scratch-ticket. Timothy Poole was arrested in 1999 for allegedly sexually battering a 9-year-old boy. He pleaded guilty to attempted sexual battery and was sentenced to time served. However, his probation was revoked in 2003 for failing to show up for counseling, and thus served three years in prison until 2006. Florida law doesn't let the lottery withhold payments based on their criminal records.

I just read about that. Crazy. Now they are talking about passing a law that disallows sexual offenders from playing the lotto.

That law could be karma as well.

I think karma does apply here. Yes, he won 3 million, but now everybody knows his name and face and that he won 3 million.

I am sure what he did was abhorrent, but he has paid his debt according to the law.  If he breaks it again, he will be arrested and charged accordingly.

In eastern religion; I believe that measuring "Karma" actually would require a person to die..... Then being reincarnated as a new organism. The person's karma would determine what organism that person would be in their next life.


Getting lucky and Winning the lotto doesn't count

(Death--->Reicarnation--->next life ---> better/worse creature)
