I realized that at the high end watch shops in vegas.  A cheap watch store shows the prices, the high end don't.  I bet you the sales people know you're not a buyer once you ask how much.  The people who know just walk in and say I'll take one without even asking for cost.

I went in to a LV shop once (browsing) I shit you not a middle aged Arab woman with her daughters walked in, started pointing at different bags, cleared almost half of a top shelf and walked out leaving this guy who looked like a minder/driver settle the bill and carry all the bags.

She was in and out in less than two minutes, no price was discussed.

Audemars Piguet watches usually looks not that good in pictures, but when you see them live it's a totally different thing... I'll take Rolex any day, but many Royal Oak watches are very nice...
