Saddam had the 4th largest army in the world the first time we spanked them.  NK would get rolled unless China stepped in.  I see a Ribbentrop/Molotov-esque non aggression pact for the two superpowers, thus paving the way for the destruction of NK.

Saddam didn't have a real airforce. He didn't have a navy. I'm just putting it out there. I believe they will not get rolled with a lot of losses by the US.

The real concern is NK would attack the south as it lacks the logistical weaponry to attack USA, they already sank a south Korean warship and no one did anything that set a very dangerous example, they know because of their nuclear retaliation capabilities they have survived where Arab regimes of late have not. During the Korean war the US lost about 34K in the three year war. Some dispute that number because of a massive amount of non combat deaths that occurred there. Nearly 2.5 million civilians died there too.

Fits as a in laughing fits? They clone US designs (they have a F-35 clone with twin engines), their stealth fighter is a joke and they use Russian or Russian cloned designs for fighter jets (last time I checked).

It was actually a 2008 RAND corp simulation, so it probably didn't even take into account the newer RUS/CHI designs.

Yeah...the F35 is taking some heat, but at least it's not like the BBQ'd Pak-Fa,
And something tells me that the F-35 may acquit itself well if pitted against a J-31.

And let's not forget the rumors of a SR71 Blackbird successor.
I think, the US should watch out for the Chinese and Russians, but at the same time, I think we still have the upperhand.
