Gym/lifting shoes.

What brand/type of shoes do you guys use during your lifting sessions/cardio sessions/crossfit training(just for you coach ;) )? High tops or low tops, etc?

Looking to get a new pair. My Nike's are shot to shit.

Adidas power perfect 2, probably the best shoes I've ever used.

As a correlary question: why do all lifting shoes look so fucking retarded? With that stupid strap and fucking insane colors? How about a shoe with a decent heel lift that is all black with no strap?

If I need them, I use old school Chuck Taylors, FTW!

I just squat and DL in socks and wear regular sneakers the rest of the time.

If I was going to wear shoes during this exercise - I'd either wear my NB MT minimus,

or Reebok z quick:

The strap is crucial for stability

I dispute this assertion.

You like the minimus? I have a pair and I hate training in them. I prefer the older ones. I'm wearing those fuckers till they fall apart.

These bad boys at my gym were hardcore. With all the weight flying everywhere and all them bodily fluids, you need to be safe.

I like the ones I posted, but not for running as they were designed.  They are completely flat, so it's good for squatting and stuff.  I think the ones I have are the old ones, as I got them right when they hit the market.

Magnum Hi-Tec was the boot of choice during this period.

I shamelessly own 4 pairs.
