I don't buy into the whole "man is causing global warming".  We haven't proven it, nor the cause.

however, I also don't buy into the crap that a sunny day disproves it.

Wow. One record was broken by 25F!!!! 1695 Low Max Records Broken or Tied From Sept 11 to Sept 20 according to the NOAA. A “Low Max” means that the maximum temperatures for the day was the lowest it has ever been. This indicates daytime cooling. Below is a screenshot showing location and the biggest difference between old record and new record. The list is just the ones I could capture in a screenshot.

Here, we can see the liberal argument that "emissions from man's vehicles are causing temperatures to rise".

You directly prove that, by showing the removal of these airplane emissions, you lower the temperature instantly.

This is absolutely the BEST thing a liberal who believes in man-made global warming would love to read.

It's not even a debate. the answer I think is better energy sources, not individual responsibility, game theory will prevail and people will do what they want.

Like in any good debate he who argues will grab 'facts' that support their position. Fact 1. Ice is diminishing at the North Pole. Fact 2. Ice is increasing at the South Pole.

Al Gore and his zealots always use the North Pole numbers to bolster their position.

Just as earth flips it magnetic poles north to south and south to north every..what?...400,000 years. When the ice drops in the south it increases in the north and visee vercee.

And then I'm thinking...we 'green tax' (Cap and Trade) our USA industries and China/India does not give a jolly fuck. Fewer jobs and higher prices here and China/India keeps on cranking out ozone eating refrigerants, dirty coal and the like. More jobs/wealth there.

Say 99% of backhoe owners recommend servicing grease points on a daily basis.  Maybe they they just want to feel better about all the money they spend on grease.  Maybe they're paid by Castrol to go online and make posts in Arkie-English.  Or maybe outspoken people just tend to make liberal use of molybdenum.  

I don't have the education or the time to undertake a study which collects data of only the unimpeachable variety and draws conclusions with certitude on every subject so I yield to the consensus of those I figure are in the know.  When the petroleum engineer at Mobil tells me why he recommends the use of SAE 30W in the transmission instead of 10W I defer to his expertise instead of spending 6 years earning my own degree.  I don't debate that calling something Green is abused black & blue as a marketing technique but it's not enough to convince me that the vast majority of well informed people are conspiring to get rich by making a case against entrenched industry.

I still take used engine oil to the dump because I don't want to be a dickhead and put it into the groundwater but I don't have any illusions that I'm saving the planet.  It's already lost 10 ways from Sunday.  It was a hell of a ride tho and I got to be on it when 160 litre fuel tanks were around and we had dinosaur juice lubed planetary gear reduction in damn wheel hubs.  Fuck yeah.
