Got the boxed set of that one too Bob.........if they had a better budget for the shitty special effects it would have been even better.

I also have every episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Boris Karloffs "Thriller".

I`m an old school motherf ucker!

My three favorite episodes of Outer Limits":

the one where there was a plot to assassinate the vice president of the U.S. and there was a Chinese spy who could mold his face to look like him

an episode with William Shatner where he plays an astronaut who comes back from Venus and is always cold all the time no matter what

There was another weird episode where a bride groom disappears on his wedding night and is trapped in a box for many many years and his bride, who has aged over the years, tries to get him out by substituting someone else

I got a fave: Dennis Weaver is imprisoned on Death Row, soon to be executed. But he KNOWS it's all just a dream. However, he's certain that if the execution proceeds, he will never wake up. Can't remember exactly, but I think he either needs his wife to clear him or for her to believe and then convince the others (warden, etc.) that they're just part of his dream so they don't follow through. Amazing, but creepy as hell.

Traumatic mindfuckery for a youngster.

Actually he took ideas from short stories and works of fiction first.

Any examples?

I know he used an old Ambrose Bierce-based film, "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge," as an episode, but Serling never took credit. The episode later inspired 1990's Jacob's Ladder, both perfectly eerie films.

Which others?

loved that show ,,,kolchak...he always dropped or broke his camera when he had real evidence to show his boss or the paper,,,john saxon as a vampire, erik estrada as a aztec witch doctor i think or something to that nature,,,,going off track original trilogy of terror karen black has voodo doll whose charm falls off and brings him to life and she endures terror until killing him in her oven...

Yes, excellent show for the time. Pretty sure it helped inspire the X Files series.

Let`s not forget the classic episode where two people are in a deserted town only to find out later that they are trapped by a giant child.

Then the old broad fighting off the two small aliens.....RACE OF GIANTS,RACE OF GIANTS !!!!!!!!

It`S A COOKBOOK!   :D

It was on earlier toady. Also, the evil kid with supernatural mental powers: "You're a bad man. You're a very bad man."

I got a few old copies on VHS.......got the pilot for it too,but the title escapes me now.

Night Strangler  ???

Barney Rubble Simon Oakland, what an actor.

I had some, too, DVDs, bought them on eBay. They were burned and many had that digital pixilation crap going on with a bunch of tiny boxes blocking the picture and whatnot. Only got to enjoy a few.

watching it now...serling wrote original draft or concept planet apes,,,roddy mcdowell'cornelius'was in a few zones episodes

notable episodes
serve man
one with the astronaut tested in small chamber to see if he can withstand isolation
hitchiker who follows woman who later finds out she's dead too'going my way i believe'
mcdowell in space on planet where humans are caged as display
episode where good looking people are considered ugly
episode,,,where a store mannequin gets a one month shot at being human..
diner where one person is not who he seems,,great episode..
william shatner in diner with wife and will not leave until the fortune from machine tells him news on if its safe to go,,

Great episode. How about the camera that takes a however-many-seconds into the future pic? At the end, they photograph the ground outside their upper-story hotel window, then one falls/gets pushed out (I forget). Film develops and survivor sees TWO bodies on the ground.

Uh oh, guess who's next?
