Do you feel a life spent living by hedonistic principles is a life wasted?
I'm an atheist and feel that part of the purpose of my existence is to enjoy my time on here as much as possible. So I try and eat chocolate fondants and get as many blow jobs as I can...unfortunately work gets in the way, but the latter can be used to your advantage since the monetary and fiscal system was created it is imperative for any hedonistic to ensure he has a healthy wallet to pay his way through more hedonistic activities.
I am also an atheist. I have nothing against hedonism, but I think a life only built on that foundation, which lacks education, news, books, discussions etc. is too empty for my taste.
I too enjoy hedonism, but I think I enjoy an eclectic lifestyle even more, and the joy from e.g. biking or a long gym session well done. In other words, achieving to read 20 books in a year, or reaching a fitness / bodybuilding goal can also give you great pleasure, similar to the way pleasure is derived from engaging in hedonism.
