Too bad Kevin Levrone wasn't the QB for the Colts. The outcome could have been drastically different.

Hahaha

Unlikely he could never close out a victory on the biggest stage.

Tom Prince was at one time a logical Colt QB.

Brady is one of the most competitive guys there is, win or lose he's coming back!

I can never bet against Brady...the Dude showed many times why we may not see talents like him anytime soon....it was stupid how the Media was doubting him after week 4 and all these non-sense, but Belichick, being the fucking Genius that he's never falter.......in my opinion, if Brady wins this, I will Put him over Montana by 3 miles... :)

Over all Brady's hard to argue with.  Montana had the great Superbowl success but his regular season numbers weren't mind blowing.  Manning(who is my favorite) was insanely dominant during the regular season but only got the one Superbowl win.  Who else is there?  Bradshaw, meh.

Brady threw 50 fucking touchdowns in 2007.  He's been dominant for so long.  Every year you just pencil him in for 10 plus wins and a chance to compete for the Superbowl.

He  set three more records today and to be honest I can't keep up with them all.

Report: Patriots Under NFL Investigation For Deflating Footballs

http://deadspin.com/report-patriots-under-nfl-investigation-for-deflating-1680358128?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_facebook&utm_source=deadspin_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow

WTHR's Bob Kravitz is reporting the NFL is investigating whether the New England Patriots illegally deflated footballs during the team's AFC Championship game against the Colts Sunday night.

Deflated footballs are easier to throw and catch, especially in the stormy conditions that threatened the area. Officials caught USC illegally deflating footballs in 2012, and fined the school.

But if they deflated the football, making it easier to catch, wouldnt this also give the seahawks an upperhand?

Each team has its own set of balls.

Since Bradys passes are always on target, and any interceptions are the result of a receiver not being able to handle the ball, the simple answer is no.

The super bowl:  New England deflated balls vs the adderall using late hit issuing team from Seattle.

This is what is most interesting... SEA and NE are two teams that have been caught CHEATING in recent years.  And if they're caught for 1 or 2 or 3 things... How many are they getting away with?   How many times HAVENT they been caught?

When a rapist is caught, he's probably done it many times.  When a shoplifter is caught on video, there are no doubt dozens of times he got away with it.  How many times have these 2 teams cheated that we just haven't heard about?

Remember that sick catch that Gronk made in the end zone today?  Raining hard, wet ball, Brady zipping it in there as Gronk cuts... seemed like that ball just melted into Gronk's hand.  We get it now.

Oh I'm sure there is SO much crap that we don't know about.

The seahawks db's play so physical with the the opposing receivers, much like the Patriots did against the Rams in their first SB win, from the jump so they can set the tone in the beginning of the game, forcing the refs to call the game to their advantage.
Consider the penalties they'll gladly take from Chancellor laying big, unnecessary roughness type hits. Just to send a message and to plant seeds in wide outs heads.

The Pats using the ineligible wide receiver "trick" play, upsetting the whole league . These two teams are Phil Heath crossing the tape line on the olympia stage.

Whne you factor in Carrolls Patriot history this game should be fantastic.

Yeah.  And they use different balls to kick with.
The  second half of the INDY NE game was delayed after the kick off because they were trying to find the NE game ball, the ref had placed the kicking ball down to play with.

Why not just use the same football throughout the game? I mean, in every other sport the same ball or puck is used. Seems pointless to let each team use their own ball.

That's way to logical.

They teams are allowed to "soften" the balls up to their liking. I think it's based strictly on quarter back preferences; so it's the most comfortable for him to throw and handle, as long as it's with in league set guidelines (that's what make the NE allegations even more interesting,  did they assume they league wouldn't check; as much as a control freak Belicheck is there's no way he can say he didn't know. He sent Revis home from practice for being 10 minutes late, Jonas never saw the field after his 200 yard game because he was late). All qbs have different standards.

The deadspin link says that the league is going to "weigh the balls". How is that going to work? While I will admit that air under pressure is heavier than air under less pressure, the innate variability in the leather cover will negate those small variances and make this method of determination invalid. I don't get it. Also, were the balls entered into an evidence chain after the game? This sounds more and more like a Twitter joke.

True this Colts team is completely over matched. I honestly thought last year's Denver squad was an all time great and the Hawks derailed them; I still don't understand how they beat Green Bay  today.....  they just really believed they couldn't lose.

I hope the Super Bowl is competitive, and the Pats are always prepared, but I think Seattle is going back to back.

Last year was a huge shocker to me.  Not sure if DEN just shat the bed that hard or if SEA's D is really that good.

Should be a good game in two weeks.  I think Seattle will win if they can muster up an average offensive performance and if NE is forced to use regulation footballs, no spy cameras, and no "linemen checking in as receivers" gimmicks.

NE guys had a very easy time catching some difficult wet balls yesterday.  What was the fumble count?

Slightly deflated ball makes fora HUGE difference in a cold wet game like that.

It must have been super obvious to the NFL, for them to stop and check the balls in the middle of the game.

It's going to be the same story - get pressure on Brady, you can beat the Patriots.  Give him 4 seconds to throw, you won't.

We'll see if Seattle got the "shit" out of their system in the first three quarters of the NFC game.  Wilson can't make throws like that in the SB and win.

They are such a despicable dishonorable "win at all costs" franchise.

- Spy cameras (yes I'm sure "every team does this" and NE are the only ones that do it poorly enough to get caught ::))
- Deflated balls i.e. outright cheating
- This recent faggotry with checking in offensive linemen as eligible receivers

I despise them, although I like Brady.

==============

Speaking of faggotry the NFL really needs to do something about their overtime rules.  As fantastic as the first game was yesterday, the rules here are still full-potato levels of stupid with the coin flip winner receiving such a massive advantage.  Why not just play another half-quarter or whatever-length time period with the exact same rules as the rest of the game ???

Watch how gay he sounds getting fired up:

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d826c94b4/SB-XLVI-Sound-FX-Giants-strike-first

Now that I watched that found this too - I remember being livid at a BS holding call that kind of changed the game.  Wilfork telling the ref he was wrong is hilarious

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-films-sound-efx/09000d5d826c94b6/SB-XLVI-Sound-FX-Patriots-fire-back?continuous=true

The footage they get of these games are as entertaining as the game itself.

http://uproxx.com/sports/2015/01/video-refs-remove-ball-from-play-for-deflategate/

Video of them pulling the ball.  Something was definitely not right about that ball.  The commentator line of "they must have just mixed them up and used a kickoff ball, which is rubbed a bit more" sound like NFL kneepadding.

Pats are shady as fck.  Any talk of "well, they would have won anyway" is total bullshit... you cheat, you cheat, period.

Plus, we dont know how deflated balls were rotated in, we dont know if both teams actually had access to them.  And once NE got a good lead from the use of deflated balls and rain started, then IND's game plan had to change big time, as they were forced to throw in the rain.  If NE doesn't get some amazing early luck with a flat ball and get that lead, then Colts can RUN the ball in the rain and have a much better chance of winning.

And if you catch them in spygate, you catch them in this... who knows how much other shit they're getting away with.

The NFL will probably either do nothing, or give them some meaningless fine or take away one of the umpteen draft picks they get and crow like it's some huge penalty.

Would be great to see them drop the hammer and say "You cheated to upset the competitive balance of the game, so you forfeit that game."  Will never happen but would def. send the message to knock this shit off.

agreed.  Call up the IND players and say "you're going to the super bowl!" - that'd be epic.

It'll be funny, decades from now, some assistant coach will write a tell-all book and we'll learn dozens of ways the Pats were bugging rooms/phones, buying playbooks from other teams, paying people to tank plays, paying off officials, blackmailing people, who knows.
