http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/01/20/brady-said-in-2011-he-likes-deflated-footballs/

So this has been going on for 3 years, at the very least.

I think the only logical punishment is to do what the baseball writers have done with the HOF vote on steroid era guys, everyone is guilty until prove innocent. Give them the Joe Pa treatment;  rescind the wins and stats until Belicheck and Brady pass away. Then reinstate them within 3 years.

And also to Aaron Rodgers, right? I mean, I am SURE that you'll want to be consistent here.

AJ I'm going to say no on that one. Normally I dislike ARod,  he's hurt my Lions tremendously,  but in his case I trust the referees were able to do their jobs correctly for once and deflate those balls. Plus he's allowed a pass because of the Fail Mary game.

Brady is still living off the Tuck Rule, games being ruled in his favor. We've had enough of this cheating team.

*honestly I don't care; it's like the grease/spit/chalk ball or pine tar in baseball, push everything to the limit, do whatever needs done and deal with the consequences later.

If games were ruled in his favor then shouldn't he be given those 2 SB loses  ::)

Great point.  They tried but David Tyree ruined it all. ::)

Please tell me which gym rats and which bodybuilders have a national reputation for being labeled cheaters or whose success will be diminished because steroid use and I'll tell you if I agree or not.

Does it matter? Just bc bbing isn't as big as a real sport doesn't change the fact it's cheating right?

The whole concept is if u use PED's then u are a cheater plain and simple, whether it's baseball, football, bbing etc...

That's how society views it correct?

100% correct Bevo, but how exactly does society view bodybuilding?

Most that I know find the Flex magazine cover disgusting and grotesque.  Outside of young hopeless dudes, everyone usually makes a comment like "you know these guys are on steroids right?"

I think society views bodybuilding like an extreme pageant show for misguided souls, not a sport or "real" contest.

U are correct

Personally I don't care if a person uses steriods to better their physique or for personal gains , each their own but to say one is cheating cause they play pro baseball and the other isn't while he competes in pro bbing is non sense

Agree. It's funny because I, as I'm sure most on here also have, have known numerous people who've used weed, coke, lsd and other hard core drugs, and they usually laugh it off as being young and having fun. Yet if someone says anything about steroids they'll be so quick to warn you how dangerous and destructive they are.

The war on steroids is the only war on drugs that has worked.

Fine.  But all you're doing is listing additional examples of the point I was making.

Fans of teams or players of any sport that get caught cheating need to learn to deal with the reputations that follow said teams and players.  That's it.

BWAHAHAHAHHAAH  fucking cheaters lol...

Sportscenter Breaking

The NFL has found that 11 of the 12 New England Patriots footballs used in Sunday’s AFC title game were under-inflated by 2 lbs each.

Brady handles these balls.  He KNOWS they're deflated.  And the girly way he laughed off the charges of deflated balls... he was blameless on spygate.  In this case, he is very clearly part of the deception.  HE gripped those balls every time.  He knew they were flat, and not just flat by a little.  2 pounds per ball.  That's scientific.  Those amazing catches on that drive, the way everyone just yanked the balls out of the air, how tiny hands brady could hold the ball so well in the rain....

and I wonder how long this has been going on.  I bet they're looking at the other games.

Under inflated by 2 pounds! They're going to be so mentally  off during the Superbowl.

It's to funny.

How did 11 balls make it pass the referee?

Conspiracy theory?

I'm guessing that a football, being under inflated by 2 pounds, is barely noticeable

But to the guy that is throwing that football; it's easier to hold on to, and it's easier to not fumble. Probably is a tad easier to catch too.

PS: all of this "deflated" news does not excuse the Colts offense for scoring only one time in the AFC Championship Game.

yeah, but the refs check the balls and 11 made it passed them. seems like a big oversight. :-\

Why do you think anyone cares?

We're merely posting news headlines the banter that follows is akin to gossip between women at a hair salon.

That's a good nerf ball.  We have that one.  Giants version, of course.

I mis judged DeflateGate.  Thought it would just be a blurb and disappear.

It's just another in a pantheon of reasons for folks to hate the Pats. That said, 11 out of 12? That seems pretty blatant.

Oh well, I am a big believer in #11 in "Rules of a Gunfight": Always cheat, always win.

If true, 11 out of 12 means they cheated.  I think Belichek just can't help himself.  The thing is, they didn't even need the advantage over Indy - no pass rush to get to Brady = no win vs NE.

But, I still think the NFL will try to sweep this under the rug.  They don't want this.

The "sportswriter" that "broke" the story was on a Boston local sports radio station (98.5) this morning thundering his demand that Kraft fire Belichick. At the end of the day, this is always about various people's agendas.

As if Kraft is going to fire the greatest evil genius in NFL coaching history.
