Lots of experts are saying the BIGGEST advantage is for teh running back - it's near impossible to knock out a ball being carried when flat.

Turns out, the three Pats running backs had a combined ZERO fumbles this season.  ;)   Hmmmmm    If they were doing this all year, then YES, it has a huge impact on how the year turned out.

And right after Brady throws that pick, he RUNS TO THE REF and asks for that ball back!   HAHAHAHA  he totally knew his ass was busted.

do you even watch football  :o to say the game would have turned out different is fucking laughable,if you knew anything about football you would have seen the holes the o line was opening for blunt, and the fact that all of lucks receiver were covered the whole game and they could not run the ball.that had nothing to do with the ball being 2 psi less

a whole lotta people who know football say it had a big impact on receivers being able to catch, and on RBs being able to hold onto the ball.  2 PSI from the minimum is actually fairly flat.  And you can see why Brady ran to get that ball back.  COLTS player wanted it - a pick from HOFer Brady in the championship game.  Brady tried to steal it back.  the colts equipment team noticed and handed it to ref.

Brady woudln't have cheated, if there wasn't an advantage to be gained from it.   And his high pitched giggling when asked Monday AM about the flat balls... Brady gave it away there.

Maybe it didn't help one bit.  Maybe it helped a lot.  EITHER WAY, Brady was cheating.  A top QB knows every inch of that ball, they know if it's 2 pSI under... and him trying to collect the ball really shows us he was concerned about being caught.

again you don't have a clue on what your talking about 2 psi is not fairly flat,an idiot like you wouldn't be able to tell unless you had another football there

Would it be  non-story if the Pats were somehow messing with the OPPONENTS kicking balls?

Ravens had issues with their kicking balls, thought they were under-inflated.  Their distances on punting and kickoffs were far below what they averaged all year.   Makes ya wonder.  Letting a little gas out of Brady's balls is bad enough.  But "Hey, while the room is unguarded and you're tapping our throwing balls... why not gas their kicking balls a little, so we get 5 or 10 extra yards on every kickoff or punt?

Colin Cowherd did a nice action piece on the air today.  He has been supporting Brady's cheating, saying it's just part of the game, etc.  Today he tossed arouond 2 balls with his producer... and Colin had to admit the balls down 2 PSI were way easier to catch.  His guy didn't drop any but had a harder time catching the fully-filled balls.

It's common sense that a slightly flatter ball is easier to catch, easier to hold onto during runs.  And the only argument now is "well, it probably didn't help THAT much..."  LOL

Blount fumbled a lot - once every 49 carries with PIT.

Then he comes to NE, plays in worse conditions, and has zero fumbles ;)

having a flat ball will do that.  Zero fumbles on NE RBs this year.

I'll bet the Seahawks are wishing that everybody would STFU about the footballs. Brady is gonna get pissed and throw for 500 in the SB.

Rob, you'd have an argument if the score was 45-44.  It was 45 - 7, there is no argument. Obviously what they did is still wrong.

again an idiot like yourself wouldn't be able to tell the difference, so that's probably why you keep on using flat lol or maybe it's breathing in to many. formaldehyde fumes from your trailer

A few teams were doing it and the NFL sent out a notice to all teams telling them to stop.  NE decided to ignore the memo and kept on doing it, but it wasn't unique to them.

name the teams

The Patriots appear to own large tracts of real estate in so much of the NFL fan's minds.

controversy sells, stop cheating and everybody will go back to thinking of them as a "team with class" like they were supposed to be during their super bowl run more than a decade ago

sean payton was suspended for a year for encouraging his players to be violent in a violent sport

how many times does belicheat have to be caught cheating before he gets a similar punishment?

suspend him for a season or ban him from this upcoming super bowl, the fine and loss of a 1st round draft pick didn't discourage him

robert kraft sucks the right cock at the right time and at the right about of time

Goodell lives off Kraft's left tittie

he will make this go away, but the blame on a vindictive ball boy that went out of his way to make the patriots look bad because in fact he is really a  Manning fan , hired by Archie Manning to destroy the Patriot Dynasty legacy

Jerome bettis on SC right now... explaining how much benefit is seen for a RB for using a flattened ball.

Way easier to prevent strips, way easier to fall without losing it.  Kinda shuts down the non-NFL-veterans saying a flatter ball doesn't help the running game.

They fucking lost 45-7.  Flat ball or not, NE would have won with just 10 players on the field.
