We are defending our team, which you would do with the Giants in the same situation. The setup here is that even if the Pats win, it'll always have an asterisk next to it.
Makes me wish that the league would do something really stupid and disqualify the Pats from the SB. Give it to the Colts, who are so mentally crushed from that ass-kicking that they would immediately fold in the SB and the Seahawks would win 60-0. Then the Seahawks would have an asterisk next to their win as EVERYBODY would know that it wasn't because the 'Hawks were good, but because the league lost its fucking mind and disqualified a team for a slight (yes, SLIGHT) equipment failure.
Please Breer Fox, PLEASE throw us in that briar patch.
Honestly, AJ, if the Giants were accused of it, I'd say "oh well", because it wouldn't diminish another championship to me. And, if Belichek was my coach, I would think this was something he was capable of.
The problem is, the dimwits up here can't wrap their little heads around it. Whereas I'm accustomed to hearing everyone tag the Yankees with buying everything, NE fans can't handle that what they hold so dear is laughed at and chalked up to cheating.
It's their own fault. It started in 2004 with the sox - the fanbase finally had a team to call champs and instead of being grateful, they turned into arrogant pricks, thinking they were going to dominate from here on it. They would "take over" stadiums, brag about doing it clean (oops), make threats blogs, etc would have to deal with "the nation" (oh brother), etc...
That's why this is funny to me - they've all become so predictable with this stuff.
