The season is successful in that they got to the bowl, but it doesn't mean much overall.  It ended in complete disappointment.  They lost a super bowl to Trent Dilfer, that's gotta be the football equivalent to bill buckner or something.

Not as crushing as the patriots 2007 season. That was utter failure , complete disappointment

Their perfect season ruined  ;D they actually never recovered and get ready for another possible upset

If brady loses this one he's never going to recover

3-3 in SB's he's so competitive that being there is not an achievement, he wants to WIN!

LOL...your G-men had no idea what kind of ass kicking they were walking into that day.

Let me correct you. You lost to a top 5 all-time defensive team that held a Giants offense to ZERO points. Not to mention that Dilfer played a hell of game himself. Dilfer wasn't that bad over the course of his career. Not the most physically gifted but SMART. He learned to play within the game as his career progressed. He was the perfect guy to lead that 2000 Raven team. Cut down on the mistakes and became a good game manager. You don't last 14 years in the NFL if you suck.

Blows me away to this day that the Ravens let him go and chose Elvis fucking Grbac instead. They brought the entire defense back and mortgaged the next few years for a chance to repeat. If they would have kept Dilfer, they might have carried over their momentum into a repeat. Oh well. :-\

I retroactively feel better now.

At the time, the Giants had just ransacked Minny 41-0, so I guess our expectations were higher than they maybe should have been.

I remember that game. Unbelievable how the Vikings laid down for that game. What a humiliating loss that was.

I actually did not give my Pats friends any shit whatsoever.  Maybe a little chiding now, but not for years.  I understood that one.  Pats had a ridiculous team - Giants had to play almost a flawless game, and it still took the craziest play ever to get the win.

It's still hard to believe that Eli Manning has 2 Super Bowl Rings!

I have a feeling that he will get a 3rd ring before he retires.

I wonder if this is somehow a conspiracy theory. Drum up publicity for the game, to pull in more money.

Maybe the NWO or Freemasons are part of this conspiracy.

Maybe Belichik and Brady knew about this all along and were paid off.

Doubtful.  This matchup is excellent from a football perspective, and had plenty of storyline already - Seattle looking to repeat, one of the greatest QBs ever looking for his first legit SB, etc......didn't need this, and I'm sure it's the last thing Belichek would ever agree to do.

Plus, who thought so many would be so passionate about this goofy subject.

Well, I was just joking/trolling.

But it would be funny if it came out that it was a conspiracy theory that was orchestrated by the NWO.  :D :D

Google Vince Lombardi and writers across the Country fall over backwards to suck the guys dick about how great he was. Hell, the Super Bowl trophy is named after him. Yet in 1951, he was the assistant coach for Army(West Point) when 43 for his 45 players were kicked out of the military and off the team for cheating on Tests...People give the coaches of Army a free pass over that scandal which is a joke imop...Lombardi is known for saying "Winning isn't everything, IT'S THE ONLY THING"! And although he didn't coin the phrase, he was known to use that phrase a lot with his players/media...

Paul "Bear" Bryant also did some scandalous things during his times (gave money to students to help them out).

AL Davis oakland owner supposedly bugged visitors locker rooms. Although I don't think he ever admitted it, people around him have stated that Davis heard Vince Lombardi use to do it...

One thing about Vince L, Bill B. and Paul Bear, they all had an overwhelming obsession to win. Of course all coaches want to win, though these three seemed almost obsessed with it. So obsessed that they would cheat to win.

We have a pole smoker Troy Aikman come out and say the Patriots should have the book thrown at them. Stfu up Aikman you phony...You just want Brady out of the way so your stats look even better...Aikman is living a Tom Cruise/John Travolta type life with a beard wife and all.

What are u talking about? His stats dont even compare to Brady's, only thing they both have in common as of right now is the number of SB wins

What i'm saying is if everyone thinks Brady is a cheater, Aikman moves up one spot on the best QB's ranking. I know his stats don't compare.

GREAT video on how easy it is to tell regular balls from deflated, and the many advantages of a flattened ball.

NO WAY Brady didn't know.  Just not believable.

Belichick and Brady better know something behind the scenes that we don't, otherwise they may get the book thrown at them.

Maybe the equipment guy was supposed to take the fall the entire time.

Proves that the psi of the ball is purely psychological for Brady though.

He played better in the second half with the regulation balls.

at that point, he had a nice 3-score lead.  The Pats knew the Colts had to throw.  Pats converted to a running game to protect the lead.  WHen you're playing with a lead in the playoffs, and you're in new england, life is very good.

and it doesnt' matter if it helped them 1% or 90%, they're cheaters that were mocking the idea on Monday and now pointing fingers on Thursday.

Umm...... the score was 17-7 at halftime.

How is that a 3 score lead? Pats knew they could run the ball on the Colts. The had beaten them the previous 3 times by 20+ points a game.

They were simply better Rob.

The Patriots had two interceptions on Luck. I guess Revis and Collins had no problems catching Luck's regulation balls.

It's a miracle that Blount could hold on to those huge, hard, regulation balls (no homo) in the second half. I am surprised that Brady didn't just fumble it and then bounce his ball off Blount's chest.

This story practically writes a homoerotic novel itself.

Yup, I believe that.  They'll take the equipment guy, who might be having his dream job, and take care of him, and he'll never talk.

I don't think it proves it's only psychological.  It was one half - Brady could have a good half throwing a brick. Of the course of a season, it could have a pretty decent impact.  In no way to I think the Colts would have won, but it's not the point.

But, there's still no way Brady couldn't tell, and the video Rob posted supports that.  Brady's answers will calculated non answers.  He probably does this all the time, and just finally got nabbed.

Fine the pats, take away the draft picks, and get back to football.  The real damage is already done.
