Well, to be fair, I've always thought that Nye was FOS because of his idiotic anti-science take on Global Warming (cue Necrosis). But Belichick's stuff really didn't pass the smell test UNLESS he was making the case that the working-in process increases the elasticity of the leather and bladder.

And he should be able to reproduce the experiment under controlled and OBSERVED conditions. Otherwise, he's just gonna look like a fool.

In fairness, the Pats are in the shittiest division in any pro sport. They could go 6-10 and still win the division and get a bye almost to the conference championship.

That, more than any other reason (except deflated balls), has been the secret of their success.

the yankees are hated because they out spend everybody else, the pats are hated because they have been caught cheating twice, which is about two times more than every other team

Pats had Zero fumbles at home this season.

I remember a game where they played at home in horrible snow.  Thought it was going to be a low scoring game but the Pats just threw bomb after bomb and the recievers were grabbing them like velcro on their hands.  I was in awe at how they were playing that way in the storm when the opposing team couldn't pass for shit.  makes you wonder now.

So now the NFL is going to investigate this further....after the superbowl.  Seems they don't want to find out someone did cheat and have to discipline someone before the game.  They'd rather wait until after.  The NFL knows that a lot of people will just watch in hopes to see NE lose

Exactly - no Steelers or Giants fan would trade anything with the Pats.

Everyone hates NE....this was proven with the insane amount of attention this got, the ESPN polls, and the fact that so many ex players weighed in.

Yankee fan here - money definitely plays into the Yankee hate.  No doubt about it.  When they get the player other teams covet, it makes them despised.
