How brain dead are you? I'm typing slowly so you'll be able to keep up. Obama's indifference to the Paris march and his unwillingness to use the term "Islamic extremism" are driven by two different factors...neither are in any way shape or form tied to what is commonly referred to as "reality".
He's declared the "war on terror" to be essentially done. In his mind, Al Qaeda has been degraded to the point that they can't mount a massive attack and ISIS is the "JV". He can't march in Paris against terror because that would be tantamount to admitting he was wrong. The silly little bastard's ego is such that he CAN'T admit to being wrong....his head will explode...the universe will collapse...cats will mate with dogs...so, he's forced to plug his ears and close his eyes to the reality that everyone else sees, ISIS and Al Qaeda remain threats...Bush was absolutely right that killing OBL was secondary to degrading Al Qaeda and ISIS is a substantial threat to the stability of the ME.
He's not going to call a spade a spade and acknowledge that Islamic extremism is the issue.. Boko Haram, Al Qaeda and ISIS..they re the issue. He won't acknowledge that because he's taken such pains to appear sympathetic to Islam...is that because he is a muslim? or is it because he doesn't want to appear to be like George W Bush, a man who had no problem with using the term? I don't know why they won't use the same entirely accurate term that the rest of the free word is using, because the why isn't important, the result is. On the International stage, we appear to be lead by a clueless goof who doesn't understand the nature of the conflict. Because we dither so badly in this issue, we look weak , vulnerable, clueless and confused. How can we possibly have a leadership role in combating these bastards if we won't even clearly indentify the enemy.
In the end...we were disgraced on Sunday...we were made to look like weaklings, because our President is an egotistical, petulant dick.
