PJ the good news is its a simple fix. Just increase Evans pay to compensate what you caused him to lose via the MD firing.
Also it'd be in Evans best interest to prominently feature him in ALL ads that you run in MD so that the general public isn't aware there has been a rift. Most consumers will think Evan still works for the publication, many of the advertisements read like actual articles as is, thus all potential problems are eliminated.
