Free Speech in France-Commedian Arrested for "Offensive Comments"

Notorious French comedian Dieudonné M’bala M’bala has been arrested for being an “apologist for terrorism” after suggesting on Facebook that he sympathised with one of the Paris gunmen, a judicial source has said.

Prosecutors had opened the case against him on Monday after he wrote “Tonight, as far as I’m concerned, I feel like Charlie Coulibaly” – mixing the slogan “Je suis Charlie”, used in tribute to the journalists killed at magazine Charlie Hebdo, with a reference to gunman Amédy Coulibaly. Dieudonné was arrested on Wednesday.

I haven't done anything wrong...I don't tend to voice my opinions and I am very neutral politically....I'm more concerned about the tightness of the vagina I'm tapping on the side and whether I can afford 3 or 4 holidays this year.

That be said, I don't find the comment too offensive, it seems like it references the duality of being muslim, yet supporting free speech.

In France, the citizen is free to express their thoughts as long as they agree with the official state position.

The number one offender of this is the so called "moderate " Muslims. The comments sections on articles related to this are comical... Muslims saying they deserved it for the cartoons and comparing the drawing of Momo to drawings of 911 victims jumping to thier deaths... Calling it the same thing.

Oh I just got in my GI bill check to.. 1700. Plus schools all paid for.  Want to tell me and the 2 million vets going to school are pos and didn't earn it. But then tell me that all the low income people get thousands dollars in grants is ok.

I respect hard working honest people any day over a benefit scroungers. I regard a dirty uneducated Mexican busting his ass working 3 jobs to make ends meet over an educated benefit scrounger who feels he serves and has the right to earn those benefits....there's a ton like you over here. If you can bench press and pose around with your synthol filled arms...you're fit enough to work.
