He had to file for bankruptcy , After Dre left Death Row the label tanked. At one point shit got so bad he signed his white lawyer's daughter to a recording contract  :-\

If I was fitlhy rich like him, I would have put aside a few million. Just lead a meager life. Hell, you can live off the interest on a few million. But I guess after living a wife if luxury, its hard to live meager. But its better than living broke, I guess.

Only sorta nice thing is that it wasn't actor Terry Carter that died, which was  an earlier reported rumor -

He was with Interscope, not Death Row.  His tie ends come later with Aftermath and Beats.  Suga Knight absorbed $50M when Dre and Snoop jumped ship.  It's obvious Suga fucked the money up over the years.  He couldn't replace Dre, nor where any production teams willing to work him.  Even Beats by the Pound wouldn't fuck with Suge.

Death Row was a vanity label under the interscope umbrella....Iovine was the money man, also a world class producer.
