It's not about suffering; it's the whole 'soul at conception' bullshit that fuels the Bible Belt's opposition.
Yes, impose laws that have a supernatural basis.  Sounds like Sharia law.  :D

This is where I veer center of right. Repubs need to distance themselves from their theocratic tendencies.

This is some horribly cynical shit.

But I'm with you.

It's just the truth and reality. If such enlightened thinking was instituted in the 1960s, then most of today's social problems wouldn't exist, because none of those social problems would ever have been born.

They are unable to do so because they are not that intelligent.  They also don`t know what a scientific consensus is.

Since we are talking about life and death, please define "quite some time". C'mon, put your opinions out there. At what point, in months, does "nothing" become "life". 20 Months? 21 Months?

It isn't that hard. You just need to tell us where that point is. The "magic moment" that life is breathed into a clump of cells. Certainly you know that exact moment, because -- according to you -- before then removing it is no problem, but after is infanticide.

So tell us when that magic moment is. Otherwise fuck off with your stupid-ass threads.

if you cant define the moment, then you cant define when life is, or isnt. So it makes pro choice the only choice. because of the absence of an exact moment, it is never murder.

even if there was an exact moment, you cant expect people to be on medical equipment monitoring themselves to find when that exact moment is- since if it was defined, it wouldnt be a point in time, but a point in development, which means itll be different for everyone.

so again, pro choice. then we have the illegally conceived victims... we have human rights that are agreed upon as basics of society, and one is that you cant rape someone. so if u cant rape them, then society has no right whatsoever to force a victim to birth a child. again, pro choice.

then we have societal responsibilities, which are also in generally and widely held agreement. Should society bear the cost and burden of unwanted or ill conceived humans?.. again, pro choice.

whichever way you spin it, only the religious and righteous kooks try to enforce their unfounded beliefs on modern society.

So you advocate having a child even if you knew you couldnt take proper care of it?

Would a possible lifetime of foster care ( if lucky) mold a productive member of society?

Statistics say otherwise.

part of what shapes a human is finding the love to take proper care of it. My mum was adopted. Productive member of society, dont really know what that is, a money making machine?

No.  The weak government that was instilled after Saddam which included Sharia Law caused the current influx of ISIS and other religious morons.

As long as religion is part of the state, there will be a problem.

If anything, the US and UK invasion destroyed more terrorists and potential terrorists than anything.  As Christopher Hitchens said, they were already there when the US and UK got there.

West did fuck all but destabilize the region further. That was the plan anyway.

They are unable to do so because they are not that intelligent.  They also don`t know what a scientific consensus is.

The science part is certainly troubling, but the right more often employs common sense to certain issues. The left tends to overthink things and accepts textbook ideologies that only work theoretically. I know you don't want to admit it, but many of your views lean way more to the right than the left.

For instance, can you name another Democrat who shares your thoughts on Kissinger? Or the "oppressed?" Guns, maybe, but it's still a right-leaning stance.

That wasn`t the plan you tin foil hat wearing dumbass.

The plan was get rid of Saddam, help them instill a government.  Where it fucked up is letting them instill another Theocracy with weak values and not working towards a Democracy.  Religion is incompatible with Democracy as far as government is concerned.

Capitalism and Democracy are EXACTLY what leads to peace between nations.  The middle east has none of that.

Furthermore, Kissinger predicted EXACTLY what was going to happen as long as a Democracy was not instilled in Iraq.

I don`t classify anything as right or left.  I only use Evidence, Data and Reason.

Plenty of democrats support the right to bear arms.  Like General Wesley Clark

Hillary Clinton and Kissinger are great friends and she supports he and he, her.

If its cheaper to buy and sell goods than to steal them, certainly.

Democracies do not go to war with each other.  Why?  Capitalism is one of the major if not the number one reason.

C'mon. You just did. Republicans are stupid and don't accept scientific consensus, remember?

I already acknowledged this. Not plenty, though. Certainly not as many Ds as Rs.

Hillary Clinton and Kissinger are great friends and she supports he and he, her.

This I didn't know. Had no idea, thanks for the info.

Having a baby just to put it up for adoption is wrong.

There are already plenty of children out there who need adopting.

Your mother was one of the lucky ones.

Children with poor upbringings are more likely to do stupid shit as adults.

Republicans are stupid and don`t accept or know what a scientific consensus is a fact based on data.  Its not a generalization.  Poll after poll after poll shows this.  Not only that, the morons themselves will tell you they don`t believe in a scientific consensus or know what it is comprised of.
