I heard it was more of a bitch fight. Glad I didn't order it

I hit the link (it worked) and it was the first round. Def not worth buying but Diaz did far better than I thought he would. He needed to let his hand go more often and fought way too conservatively.

truth is anderson looked his age and cautious, nick was sloppy yet kept pressuring

it can have been a draw at least and split at most

overall a subpar fight

Andy needs to hang'em up.

Couldn't dominate a blowned up welterweight and was crying over beating him.  ::)

Overall, Anderson performed well. By Anderson Silva standards, he was a shadow of his former self. If it were anyone else in there against Nick Diaz performing the way Anderson did, people would say he was an impressive fighter with a complete package consisting of the right foot work, control and solid striking. Unfortunately, everyone is expecting the Anderson of old and it's hard to tell whether that will be seen again.

I think Anderson should probably aim at Georges St. Pierre next and assuming he wins that fight, retire right after.

Georges doesn't really have knockout power, plays it safe and is very technical. He is also one of the most popular fighters in the world.

If I am Dana White, I would probably be wondering how to best cash out (bring in PPV money) on Anderson before he retires or gets defeated again. The most lucrative choices are to either put him in the octagon with Georges St. Pierre, as a super fight and Georges' illustrious return, or pit him once more against Chris Weidman, because even if he gets defeated again, people will tune in just to see how that fight would end.

Not an entertaining fight, but a smart conservative victory by Silva.  I expect he'll be much better the next time out.  As for the scoring?  No controversy whatsoever.  It could have been scored 5-0 for Silva or 3-2 for Silva.  There were only 2 rounds you could even make a case for giving it to Diaz.  In both those rounds, Diaz had about a 10-15 second flurry and did NO damage.  Hard for me to score a round when one guy does something for 15 seconds out of 5 minutes.

Bottom Line:  No way did Diaz deserve the nod and he most certainly wasn't screwed.

Silva is old and coming back from injury that would have ended most careers.  He won.  His trainer daniel worin is so technically proficient - everyone he trains is so precise, hits with such understanding of that strike, the pullback, the next strike, etc.   he helped mehdi win RFA21 last month too.

This.

Because of his age and how his last fight ended his strategy for this fight was to win by taking as less risk as possible and he succeeded. And the fact that he is being under hyped now may actually act in his favor in his next fights.

Go Silva.

This is just my opinion concerning Anderson Silva.... But I think that once he fully gets his confidence back; he can be champ again.

shit fight

diaz walking forward then silva scoring with a leg kick then running away for three minutes

at least diaz had the balls to engage

Anderson should have gone toe to toe with diaz

he probably devalued his next ppv by about forty percent
